Homeschooling High Schoolers, It’s Easier Then You Think

One of the questions I often get asked is about homeschooling high schoolers. I remember when we first started homeschooling our kids, we said we would follow God's lead on what to do with our kids when they started high school. I was worried that it would be out of my league to teach them, since I don't have any type of teaching degree. I was also worried that they wouldn't get into college without a diploma from an "accredited high school". Little did I know at that time that this was very … [Read more...]

How I Teach, After 10 Years Of Homeschooling

I was asked by a follower on Instagram what method we use for homeschooling our kids. I realized, when replying, how long the answer really was to that question. The truth is, we use a mix of different methods with our kids. We are in our 10th year of homeschooling our kids, during that time we have used many different curriculums and tried many different methods in teaching our children. During seasons in our life certain methods worked that didn't during other seasons. One of the … [Read more...]

I have learned so much and the manuals are just an amazing resource! My Montessori lessons will be following Karen's albums or the Gettman Manual.
