Easy To Make Sun Catcher Kid Craft Idea

After seeing this sun catcher kid craft idea online a few times I thought it would be a perfect Mother’s Day Idea for some of the wonderful mothers in our family this year. They are pretty easy to make and look amazing when hung in the window. I am however, glad I did a little research into this craft ideas before we did it. After research I found out it is NOT a good idea to do them in the oven like some of the tutorials tell you to. It is better to put them on the grill due to Continue Reading…

50 Amazing and Engaging Screen Free Activities For Kids

We do let our kids have a small amount of screen time every day, but essentially we keep it to a minimum and have lots of screen free activities for the kids to do. There are some exceptions to the rule if someone has had a surgery and needs bedrest, if mom is sick, etc. Sometimes it can be a challenge keeping kids busy when we they are doing screen free activities instead of just turning on a TV or video game on to keep them busy and hold their interest. Over the years we have become pretty creative at coming Continue Reading…

Transportation Theme ~ DIY Car Mat

This month in our Mother Goose timeCurriculum we have been studying transportation. For this day what started with 2 sheets of paper, chalk, and signs turned out to be a huge town made from many sheets of paper. This is the exact thing I love about raising children who love to learn, their imaginations go off on a huge tangent from a simple activity and what was supposed to last for a short time can be brought out into a day long or multiple day tangent. The boys enjoyed the activity so much I figured someone else’s would love this Continue Reading…

Math Fun With Tangrams and Bus Counters

Mother Goose time offers many different ways for kids to work on math in their everyday learning, they offer amazing manipulatives that kids will use to figure out simple story problems, counting, making patterns, using shape mats and shapes, and many other great ideas. While we currently use Math-U-See as our main math curriculum for all of our kids, because they are a little bit older and need a math curriculum in my opinion. Even though we use a separate math program, we always love the hands on math concepts that are taught each month with our Mother Goose Time Continue Reading…
