Freezing Strawberries

Welcome back to our week of strawberry recipes! Today I am going to share our simple way to freeze strawberries, we use our frozen strawberries for our organic strawberry muffins and bread, our organic strawberry and strawberry raspberry smoothies, and many other recipes. We have enough frozen to hopefully last us for the next year.

Easily freezing strawberries

We first hulled and cut our strawberries in half, next we washed the strawberries off (don’t soak them in water or they will absorb the water) then sprinkle sugar over the strawberries. Put the strawberries into freezer gallon size ziplock bags and put into the freezer.

My kids put the strawberries in the freezer for me and didn’t put them in very orderly but oh well at least they made it into the freezer.
