Lately In Our Life

Last week was a slower week, but with it being our big grocery shopping week it made it a very tiring week. While it is a huge help to work on meals for 6 weeks at a time, the couple days working on making meals can be pretty tiring.

On Saturday we managed to make a ton of freezer food like breakfast burritos, burritos, freezer waffles, chocolate chip pancakes, muffins, and more. Sunday we managed to get 40 different dinners all filled into the freezer. Now the freezer is filled with delicious and healthy food to last us through the holidays!!

Despite having lots of work to do on the weekend, Jake ended up taking the kids out to the big sledding hill after Saturdays busy day. The kids all got sleds last year, but weren’t able to use them because after Christmas last year we never had snow on the ground for more then a couple hours to go sledding in. Crazy to say in Michigan. We already have quitee a bit of snow on the ground for the year. The kids are loving it!!

Next weekend is when we are making our Christmas cookies. It is a huge event every year, but everyone has so much fun. And it always makes a big mess. We are making cutout sugar cookies, and bread for everyone instead of tons of different types of cookies this year. We are trying to cut back on sugar intake.

In Our Homeschool

WIth it being Christmas break not too much to repor on the homeschool front. A couple of kids are still working on some of their studies if they didn’t do it during the summer.  More to come on this front after the New Year!
