Updated Curriculum 2011/2012

I figured it was about time to update my posting on our curriculum for the year with all the new changes that have taken place after our Christmas Break. You can read my original posting on our curriculum that we used to start the year with HERE.
We have started the New Child Montessori Manuals and are also using the supplement to the manuals for our Montessori curriculum for the next 2 years. I am part of Karen’s online class for Montessori 0-3, and use her manuals for presentations as well.

Ethan- 3 1/2 years old- ECSE

In the mornings Ethan is with us for school, and he is following along with our Montessori Curriculum, along with doing Preschool Packs, Get Ready For The Code, Signing Time, lapbooks, and lots of hands on learning to keep him busy.
In the afternoons he is enrolled in an ECSE preschool class. Due to his speech Apraxia, sensory issues, development and cognitive delays, and age regression, he needed intensive speech and occupational therapy and the only way to get that was to enroll him into a program. We are hoping that because he received early intensive intervention that in the next year or 2 that he will have made enough improvements that he can stay home with the rest of the kids full time, but are just taking it one day at a time right now.

Gabriel- 2 years old
I am not really planning his days out to much, but he is included in our whole morning of school, I have “tot” trays out for him of different montessori works out on his own shelves in our school room. Working on grace and courtesy lessons as they arise in everyday life, along with practical life.
I currently have a few online subscriptions that I use as different resources for our studies, Reading a-z.com, ABC Twiggles.com, Kids Soup.com, edhelper.com, Discovery Education Streaming, and enchantedlearning.com.
