Our 4th Of July

Thank you for sharing!!

Scrapbook Pages-241

I hope everyone had a safe and fun 4th of July, and I cannot believe it is already July where has this year gone?

Serena took a nice camping vacation with the neighbor girls and their family for 5 days so she wasn’t with us on the 4th but I’m sure she had an amazing time out on the boat all day for the 4th along with lots of fireworks and of course 5 days away from her brothers  😉

We also had my niece over for the night of the 4th so she was able to enjoy the day with us and then we had a nice cookout with my sister and brother in law the next day to pick her up.

For our 4th Of July meal we had some delicious hamburgers on the grill from local grass fed cows, a fresh salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, hard boiled eggs, a red/blue fruit salad, and organic banana muffins. The kids enjoyed a water balloon fight, and lots of fun fire works both before and after it got dark.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

We bought some adult poppers this year and gave each of the older boys a box. Well they shoot pieces out of the ends and somehow I got a picture of Cody throwing one and Dustin and Anthony jumping so they wouldn’t get hit with any pieces.
Ethan showing Ava how to throw half of a package of poppers.
The kids loved walking into the smoke from the smoke bombs.

Inspecting fireworks once they have cooled off can be great fun, especially when your with your cousin 🙂

The Water balloon fight!!

Just as an FYI Dustin and Cody were left in charge of getting the water balloons filled while me and Jake got dinner ready for everyone, well they not only filled the water balloons but also threw about 150 of them, so not only did everyone else not get very many water balloons they also didn’t get to join in on the family water fight.

Great time to get your cousin, when they are busy watching someone else trying to throw a water balloon at them 🙂

Jake posing for a picture, at first I thought he was going to throw it at me with the camera…

The kids loved the sparklers!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better day, all the kids had so much fun, and ended up staying up very late!!

What did your family do special for the 4th Of July?

I am linking up with these great linky parties.
