So we were blessed to be able to Attend A Day Out With Thomas in Flint, MI. This was an amazing event that we were very grateful to be able to attend!!
I cannot say enough how much fun we all had!! Not only were we able to go on a 45 minute train ride on Thomas the train, but there were tons of other activities, games, hands on activities, and more.
Here is Thomas, with a bunch of train cars behind him. We were heading to the boarding area for our 45 minute train ride on Thomas.
The conductors waiting for the passengers to board the trains.
Jake, Gabe, and Ethan waiting for the train to take off!
Cody, Anthony, and Ethan in the background.
Serena and Dustin.
It was a hot day so sitting by the open window during the ride
During the ride there are 2 times that Thomas turns around and you can get a really nice picture of the front of the train in action. The conductors even warn you ahead of time that they are coming and what way to look out of the train.
During the ride you pass old trains and boxcars, go over bridges, see streams, fairs, and so many other fun things!
Gabe, Serena, Dustin, and at least half of the other little kids on board the train took a nap because it was such a peaceful and relaxing ride.

The ride on Thomas was really just a small portion of the fun that A Day Out With Thomas had available to kids. They also have a big old town that the kids could explore, inside the town they had broom makers, blacksmiths, printing press, opera house, and so many other amazing things for the kids to learn. In each of the buildings they had people inside that would explain how they make each of the things or put on performances.
The blacksmith showing us how his very old drill works, showed us the things around the shop and answered any questions the kids had.
They had a map that the kids could get stamped through out the town, and then they got a Thomas surprise once their map was finished!
The imagination station was an amazing area set up for the kids to play. They had bounce houses, giant inflatable slides, tons of train tables set up to play with, Thomas hats with stamps of the Thomas gang to decorate, bubbles for the kids to play with, and other very fun things to do!
The kids were able to each get a tattoo and bring a couple home.
They had Bob The Builder doing performances for the kids as well, they had a different show times through out the day so that all the kids got a chance to watch if they wanted to!
A Day Out With Thomas was an amazing day without a doubt!! The kids were talking about going back next year when we got into the car to go home!
They are going to be open next week 8/23-8/25 as well in Flint, MI and have other stops around the US, this is one event that you won’t want to miss if you have younger kids! Stop over and get your tickets!!
I am linking up with these great linky parties!
