We have been focusing on Apples all week so I am putting together some posts about all of the apple fun we have had! I found a wonderful free Apple Lesson Plan on the internet and it has been an absolutely wonderful resource for a ton of apple experiments, language, math, and just fun stuff! HERE Is the link if anyone is interested.
I printed off the Apple Life Cycle booklet from the Apple Starter Unit at Montessori Print Shop cut them all out and paper clipped each stage of the apple tree together, I wrote each stage on a paper plate so the kids would know how to correctly label and spell each stage, added crayons, markers, glue sticks, and paper plates, put it all onto a tray so when it came time to do this activity everything would already be together and ready to go.
In preparation for this activity we have been reading this book, it contains real life pictures and is a wonderful book!
We read a couple of Johnny Appleseed books from the library, and the kids did a Johnny Appleseed crossword puzzle.
We worked with the apple life cycle 3 part cards and charts. The 3 Part Cards are a free download from Montessori For Everyone.
Here are the kid’s finished Life Cycle plates.
I am linking up with THESE great linky parties, stop over to find more great ideas to teach your kids.
