When you have a big family working on the logistics of your homeschool is pretty important. We have used many different homeschool curriculums over the years. Grouping as many of the kids together is something that we found out is really important to our homeschool running smoothly...  Well and also to keep my sanity. Which means many of those curriculums we have tried over...

Every year I work with the kids to make some easy DIY Christmas crafts for kids but one of our favorite things to make are Christmas ornaments. We hand them out to family and hand some on our tree every year. When we decorate the tree every year, it is so fun to talk about the memories made making each of them. They also...

Once the weather gets cold around here we tend to stay inside the house more than normal.  That means that I need to find different crafts and activities to keep the kids busy. One thing we love to do on a rainy day is a fun fall craft idea for kids. I just love the craft ideas and supplies that Oriental Trading Company offers. NOTE: We...

This year we have partnered with Sonlight curriculum to share our journey. We're using their level 3 complete curriculum with both Ethan and Gabe. We are about 2 weeks into our year with the program, and it is going great so far. I have always loved teaching our children using great literature, and that is just what Sonlight believes too! I have used Sonlight in...

I was provided with a copy of The Zones Of Regulation for review purposes. All opinions expressed are the honest opinions of my children or myself. Please read my Disclosure Policy for more information. Think of when your child was young and they walked up to a person or animal for the first time and hurt them, as a parent you gently explain to them that it...

It was a lot of fun, we were able to learn some ways to swap sugar for Splenda No Calorie Sweetener, and there was even Visa Gift cards to giveaway to some of the participants. We actually had such great results that the #SweetSwaps hashtag became the #1 hashtag...

I know that it has been a while since our last Upper Peninsula Michigan Vacation post. But life has been busy, and I am needing to remember the warmer weather since last week we had temperatures that were -20'F with the wind chill our average high right now would be 38'F, it has been one of those winters, I wish would just end... So...

While we were up in the Upper Peninsula Michigan for a vacation we were blessed with the ability to stay at the Halfway Lake Resort. As always with 8 of us finding somewhere to stay that can accomidate all of us is not an easy task, the cabins at the resort however fit us all very comfortably. Something else that really makes the resort a...

The second day of our trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan was spent going to see the Tahquamenon Falls. We were blessed with the opportunity to review the The Tahquamenon Falls Riverboat Tour and the Famous Toonerville Trolley to be able to see the falls in their own private viewing area.   The complete tour is 6 1/2 hours long. You start the tour by getting...

Handwriting Without Tears is a company that we have used for quite a few years now, so when given the chance to review their new updated edition that has come out, for the TOS Crew, I was very excited to help! One of the major things that has been a huge help through the years is the fact that Handwriting Without Tears is a multi-sensory...

Montessori Practical Life Tools For Kids So I debated purchasing something to be able to hang the kids cleaning supplies from, but I ended up finding something even better.  This is where we used to hang the 2 little boys coats and diaper bags, and it was always a mess.  Well it was just perfect for the kids cleaning tools!!  The kids know right where...
