Ringling Brothers Circus ~ Dragons

A couple weeks ago we were blessed with the ability to attend the Ringling Brothers Circus that came to town. We all had a wonderful time! We did learn that whenever we go to events at the Van Andel even if they are not very loud we need noise cancelling headphones for Ethan. The whole time we had to push our hands over Ethan’s ears because the noise was more then he could handle. The Ringling Brothers circus was beyond my expectations and had so many different acts for everyone that there were many different acts that each of the Continue Reading...

Mackinac Bridge ~Vacation Day 1~The Day In Which We Loose The Tip Of A Toe…

If you follow us on Social Media you will have seen that we went on a vacation. This year we decided to head up to the UP of Michigan we were about 2 hours north of the bridge in Newberry, MI. That is about a 5 hour drive from our house and is a beautiful place that is really “unplugged” from the world (from the Mackinac Bridge you do not get any cell phone signal) and internet is well really slow if it works at all… It was a great way to get away from everything for 4 FULL days and Continue Reading...

Each year we all head down to downtown Grand Rapids, MI for the big Festival Of The Arts. It is the biggest volunteer art festival in the country they have many free art activities for kids, music, food from around the world, performances, and more. Field Trip Friday ~ Outdoor Discovery Center Macatawa Greenway

One of our favorite place to visit in the area is the Outdoor Discovery Center Macatawa Greenway, we visit there quite a few times through out the spring, summer, and fall. This is a free place that has nature trails, a beautiful covered picnic area with bathroom, a sensory garden, ponds 1 of which is a fishing (catch & release) pond. Because it was just the start of spring the sensory garden was not in bloom yet, but here is the sign inside the area of what is normally inside the garden. In the sensory garden they have a VERY Continue Reading...
