All of the kids made wonderful DIY gifts for Jake for Father’s Day, every year we get him a gift from all the kids and myself as well. I had seen this wonderful gift idea for Father’s Day and thought it was a great idea, so I thought of a great way I could make this book myself using my Scrapbooking Software,  my printer, and Book Binding machine. This is a wonderful DIY personalized gifts for many different occasions some of which may include Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Birthdays, Christmas, and just about any other holiday!

This is what I came up with. On the title page I put the title, year, and a picture of each of the kids with spacing in between so that they could each sign their own names.
The first 4 pages are the family pictures that we just had taken.
I made a page with pictures of each of the kids with their name on the right side of the page and then on the left side of the page I had each kiddo make a picture for dad for father’s day and added each of them on the other side of the page.
Following the pages of the individual kids are some collage pages of misc field trips we have gone on this past spring and 1 page with pictures of the kids working on their fathers day gifts. I punched each of the pages using our book binding machine, put a presentation cover on the front and back, and put the book together. What a wonderful personalized gift for Father’s Day or any other special holiday!

  1. Hi Nicole,

This is a really cute idea. I love how it personalized! If you do each your year, it would be fun to see the progression of the the kids’ handwriting and growth.

I followed you over from the Sundae Scoop linky party. I would love if you stopped by my blog.

    Thanks for sharing,
