Fall Montessori Works
I have changed some of the activities around for Fall.
This is the open close basket that is on Gabe’s shelves right now. There is a Halloween container I got from Dollar General, a Karo syrup bottle, an old empty PlayDoh container, a little coin purse, and a cute pumpkin container the lid comes off of I found at the local thrift shop in a set for .50!
Inside each container is a little treasure, there is some Halloween colored plastic bracelets, plastic acorns, a few corn kernels, and an empty tape roll.
Gabe really enjoys opening the containers, now if we could just work on not throwing the acorns we would be golden!!
Ethan has been perfecting using scissors, so I purchased some Fall themed borders from Dollar General, cut them into 3rds and put them into the bucket for him to cut, he ended up using almost all of them all the first time I put the activity out. So then I downloaded the Fall Cutting Strips from Montessori Print Shop, they are a FREE download, I used my paper cutter and cut the strips out, put them all into a Dollar General Halloween bucket and put them on a tray along with scissors and a little basket to cut them into.
Here is a close up of the strips.
Ethan cutting some of the Fall themed borders. We have been using the scraps for our Fall Collages.
I added a fun Fall themed science basket to our science shelf a couple weeks ago, the kids have been enjoying examining all the stuff inside!
Whats Inside the Science Basket: few small pumpkins, gourds, indian corn, field corn, an empty corn stalk, pinecones, and a little scarecrow.
