These Grilled Steak and Potato Packets are such a simple dinner! Not only are they made using literally 7 simple ingredients, but clean up is totally a breeze as well. I love knowing that I can make up a hearty dinner for the family that I’m not going to have to spend hours cleaning up. For our household, this recipe is a total win-win.

With a cook time of only 10 minutes, there’s literally no excuse to getting this delicious recipe prepped and ready to cook. Plus, if you show the kids how easy it is to use foil when cooking dinner, they just might never want to eat on plates ever again! (and your dishwasher will thank you!)

Grilled Steak and Potato Packets

Makes 4 servings
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 8 medium red potatoes, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions:

1.Place the cut potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for around five minutes, until potatoes are just tender. Drain the potatoes from the water.

2. Cut four 12×12 inch pieces of aluminum foil. Spread the potatoes evenly over each piece of foil. Season with salt and Italian seasoning.

3. Top the potatoes with an even amount of steak pieces. Season the steak with pepper, garlic powder, and dried parsley.

4. Fold the sides of the foil over the top of the steak and potatoes and roll up the ends to form a pouch. Place the pouches on a hot grill and cook for 8 to 10 minutes. Open the seam of the packet slightly for the last three minutes of cooking to allow smoke to penetrate the packets.
