Lately In Our Life
As I’m sure you noticed we took the 4th of July week off from the linky party. We all enjoyed speding time with our families, I hope you have as well.
The week before the 4th the kids all tie-dyed t-shirts 4th of July colors. I have never done tie-dye before, but it was a super fun experience and we also decided that purchasing the special dyes from Dharma Trading company is very well worth it. The shirts come out SO much brighter.
For the 4th Of July weekend on Sunday we had a picnic dinner and spent the evening at the beach as a family and stayed to watch the sunset. On the 4th we spent the evening out at the farm with our good friends (they are also the farmer we purchase all of our meat from) the kids get along so well with their kids and always have such a great time. Us adults have a wonderful time talking and of course enjoying the delicious food we had to eat. Because they are in the country you can watch fireworks from all over from their house which was nicer then going to a big crowded firework event.
This past week we have been slowly recuperating from the busy 4th of July week. We did manage to spend time out at another friends house, the kids spent the afternoon swimming and her and I had a great time chatting. They have been staying up at a camp ground most of the summer so we haven’t been able to see them at church lately or get together much, so it was nice.
Kids are finishing up the last few classes we have to get done for the school year. I finally pulled out all of their last year books put them into banker boxes and cleared out their baskets. New classes have been put into them, and they are excited to get started!!
