Lately In Our Life
So last week was a little crazy around here. We started off being gone all day on Monday at my Dr’s in Ann Arbor. Since it is a 2 1/2 hour drive each way not including traffic jams and construction and we often sit in the office for a while it ends up being an all day trip.
The Dr ended up giving me a steroid shot in my joint and told me to start tapering the steroids the next week. If I can taper then we are good, if I cannot taper still then it is time to switch meds once again. The only thing is that the meds we would be switching to has a lot of very severe and bad side effects, and from what I read online most users experience sever side effects not just some. That also means that because I will only need infusions twice every 6 months instead of every month I will need to have my port taken out, which means they will have to dig for veins for hours to get IV’s placed… God hasn’t steered me wrong so far, so I’m keeping it all in prayer that whatever is supposed to happen happens.
We started a huge project of finishing the rest of our roof not this past weekend but the weekend before it was in really bad shape. Now before I go any further let me say our roof is very steep, so steep that we needed to get harnesses just to work on it. The boys have been getting up there almost every day for about a week and a half to help get this finished and one of our friends has driven 30 minutes each way to be here every day after work to help us get this finished. Oh yeah and his wife is hugely pregnant with baby #6.
I have been having to pick up most of the boys chores since they have been on the roof so much. That mixed with as much gymnastics practice as possible for the upcoming competition in less then a month has left everyone exhausted. I cannot say how very grateful I am to have such amazing friends that would give up their free time every day after work and 2 whole weekends, we have been so very blessed.
I haven’t had much time to read through this wonderful blogging book, but am still sharing it for you. If you are a blogger looking to make money from your blog, I highly recommend this book, How To Blog For Profit: Without Selling Your Soul. It is such a challenge to make money from your blog without spending way to much time doing it. This book will help you do just that!
