These Reindeer Cookie Bars are a super simple holiday dessert that everyone in your house is going to love. They’re the perfect combination between a cookie and a bar and the added chocolate and M&M’s just make them melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

Reindeer Cookie Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C All-purpose Flour
  • 1 C Old-fashioned Oats
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 C Butter, Softened
  • 1/3 C Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 C Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 C Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Large Egg Yolk
  • 1/2 C Chocolate Chips Bars
  • 1/2 C Chocolate Chips
  • 1 C Red and Green M&M’s

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leave a little overhang to lift bars out easily.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt and oats then set aside.


4. In a mixing bowl with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and sugar until fluffy and light in color. About 2 minutes.

5. Add in the vanilla, egg and egg yolk. Blend together and scrape down the sides of the bowl.

6. Add the dry ingredients into the wet then mix till combined.

7. Add the chocolate chip bars, chocolate chips and m&m’s, blend until mixed in.

8. Press batter into the prepared pan. Top with a few of the chocolate chip bars, chocolate chips and m&m’s.


9. Bake for 14-16 minutes or until edges lightly brown. Bars may look pale and slightly underdone in the middle and that’s perfect and just how you want them to look so they are not overcooked.
