Raise your hand if you’re a fan of cooking almost all your soups using your slow cooker? There’s a reason that this Slow Cooker Chicken and Wild Rice Soup is literally one of my favorite crockpot soups to make. I’m pretty much obsessed with the savory taste and I love the added texture of the rice as well.
This is one hearty soup that I know everyone in my family will love. And since it makes such a huge batch, I’m never worried that we’re going to run out, either! All of my kids tend to have differences of opinion about what they want for dinner but when I tell them that this simple soup recipe is on the radar, they’re all ecstatic and ready to dive in and eat!

Be certain to try this Slow Cooker Tortellini Soup for another awesome slow cooker homemade soup recipe!
What I really love about this simple wild rice soup is that it’s loaded down with veggies as well. If you’re a mom or dad and are trying to get more vegetables into everyone’s daily diet, this soup recipe is a great way to “sneak” them in and make it happen.
Make certain that you plan accordingly and give this soup plenty of time to cook. Since you’re cooking it in your slow cooker, it’s going to be a process that takes a few hours but is totally worth the wait!
Let me know if you add any toppings to this soup once you add it to your bowl. Some people like soup toppings and some don’t, and I’ve never really added to many to this soup recipe since it’s so good as is.
